Time for another “What _____ looks like” post. This is a fun challenge that I’m doing with a bunch of other really amazing photographers in Montana. We fill in the blank and you guys get a glimpse into our lives. Some of these images that I’ll share are from my instagram and facebook, and some are professional shots… so I don’t know if I’m cheating on this post- but I needed to share all the fun pics!

We decided to get a dog almost 5 years ago. We found a Golden Retriever Breeder in Nebraska and we thought they seemed like awesome people, so I called to see when they puppies would be ready. Matt and I lived near Denver, CO at the time. She said they will be ready in one week, and we could come get them in Nebraska, or we could pick them up in Denver where they are meeting some other people that were taking a puppy too. It was perfect! So we met them in Denver 7 days later, picked up our little puppy, brought him home, named him Cooper, and we’ve been living happily ever after ever since. After over 3 years of loving Cooper to death, while looking into his eyes one day, I knew he was begging for a friend. So Matt and I talked it over and decided to get another golden! A girl… obviously. I knew what cooper wanted.
So then came Maddi. She is crazy, hyper, and not as well behaved as Cooper, but she is the best cuddle buddy ever, and she always makes us smile (as we roll our eyes).
These dogs are our children. We love them like crazy and do everything with them. We spoil them, we take them on all kinds of adventure, and we let them sleep on our bed.
Here’s a little peek into our doggie’s world:
They love hiking with Matt and I. They see us go grab our shoes, then the leash and they go craaaazy.
This was Maddi right after we brought her home. Matt went and picked all her things up at the pet store while I waited at home with her. He can back with a pink blinged out collar, a pink leash, a pink bed, a pink stuffed animal, and a pink blanket. He looked at me and said “Oh wow… what am I going to do when we have a daughter someday?!” Can’t wait to see….

They always come on our adventures… when we take them mountain biking they about pass out at the end. But they’ll never stop!
Cooper is truly a man’s (Matt’s) best friend…
Yes, we give them ice cream when we get ice cream. Spoiled.

Coopers favorite thing ever is fetch. He jumps for it too!

He also makes the best pillow ever…Â 
Dogs are the best. If you don’t have one, and you have the time for one… get one. I love my dogs dearly, and I know Matt does too. We are excited to have human babies one day too… but our little furry babies are perfect for now.
